Welcome to the 2009 EnemyDown March Night Cup!
This event will be played on Sunday 1.3. starting at 19GMT. This time we will have 16 teams and 4 rounds. Teams outside the UK/European ladder can also sign up, providing they have a minimum of 6 players registered on their ED roster. If there are more than 16 sign ups, we will have at least 2 back-up teams, who step in, if some team(s) cannot play their 1st round match.
Event Schedule:
Sunday March 1st - 19:00 GMT | Chemille (16 teams)
Sunday March 1st - 20:00 GMT | Railroad2_b2 (8 Teams)
Sunday March 1st - 21:00 GMT | Anzio (4 Teams)
Sunday March 1st - 22:00 GMT | Harrington (2 Teams - Final)
All matches will be 2x20 minutes.
Because the Night Cup schedule is tight, and any delays will keep all teams waiting, the match times have to be followed. Matches must start LATEST at 15 minutes past the scheduled time, even if one team had only 5 on server etc. If a clan is found to be delaying the schedule with their actions, they will almost certainly be judged to lose their match.
X-Ray is NOT mandatory, in-eye demos must be recorded unless a recording HLTV is present on server.
Matches are to be played on the home team\'s server. If the away team requests, 2nd round can be played on their server. Contact an admin before the match starting time if you have any additional queries.
All standard ED and DoD Rules apply for this competition.
We request that all clans have at least one representative on #enemydown.dod on the evening to provide us and their opposition with a point of contact.

As the 1.3 scene is getting smaller and smaller, still people spend time and effort trying to keep it a bit competitive. Chris contacted me on IRC and asked me to promote a tournament for him. Here you go:

Hi everyone!
After working hard to get the channel working with a bot and a server sponsor,
I've seen that we cant get enough active admins to try and start some gathers.
So, like the headline sais: #DOD.Gather is looking for some serius ACTIVE admins!
Feel like you're the one for the job?
Take those few steps first:
1. Create an account in the Gather-Network website.
* Make sure your main channel will be #dod.gather
* After the account is done, edit your profile, and Add your Quakenet auth from the IRC.
2. If you did all those things right, join #dod.gather and do this command: /msg dod-gather auth
* You should get a msg: You're Now authed as "your account"
* If the bot dont let you auth, it's because you didn't follow step 1!
3. After you're authed with the bot, just PM HoBGoblin!
I hope you have the will to help, otherwise, the whole job was a waste of time...

As the #DoD.Gather chanel and bot now is up and running i tought i might be a fun thing to arrange something different.
This weekend is OPT Frag weekend.
Will will list the very best players from #DoD.Gather matches, so dont wait, join the chanel and wait for the next gather. After the gather you send a screenshot of your standings to vajper.
After getting standings over players we will update this news with a list. on sundey at 22:00 the list is closed and a winner is set. If this arrangement goes as planed and with active matches we will do this soon again and setup a hall of fame at the OPT website.
